New Mobility Services
We focus on developing state-of-the-art methodologies and tools to understand, quantify and evaluate the potential impact of the disruptive new mobility services and concepts on transport planning, network performance and energy consumption.
Capturing the demand for new concepts and services
Based on advanced data collection techniques like stated preference surveys and a range of modelling methodologies, we are capable of providing comprehensive insight on the potential future impact of new mobility services (e.g. MaaS, CAV's, demand responsive services) on user's daily travel choices and patterns.
Integrating new alternatives with the traditional mobility services
Contributing towards the vision of sustainable and integrated seamless urban mobility, our work lies also on extending the research in predictive tools and optimization methodologies. We focus on evaluating mobility integration schemes and providing insight on how new mobility services (car-sharing, ride-sharing etc.) are able to "co-operate" with traditional PuT modes, as well as the potential benefits for user's, mobility service providers and the network.
Getting the best out of a new services operation
Driven from the rise of new technologies and business models like CAV's and on-demand app-based services, we use agent-based modelling techniques to replicate, optimize and anticipate the multi-sale interactions between mobility service providers, customers and the network.
